I’m working as Social Media Consultant and Market Intelligence Researcher for a several startups and a large CMS provider. I grew up in California, played drums in a rock band for many years in the Bay Area. I started working with computers and multimedia in 1996 while at the Palo Alto VA Cardiology Research Lab and never looked back. I cofounded a startup at a Palo Alto incubator and gave a talk at Stanford University just before the dotcom bust. I left California for a consulting job in NYC and then in 2001 ventured to Malaysia where I currently reside with my wife, daughter and one shaven lhasa apso. I’ve lived outside the US for the entire Bush nightmare. Living beyond the borders of your home country for a while is good for the soul. I miss the burritos, live music, my old friends, family and a free press.

Life in Asia has been an amazing experience. Go to the islands of Southern Thailand, see Angkor Wat, take part in a ceremony deep in the highlands of Bali, be amongst one million devotees at Batu Caves during Thaipusam.

We’re off to New Zealand or back to the USA next year.
